CAD $58,000 – $68,000 per year ($28 per hour depending on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review work orders and discuss work to be performed with supervisor
• Inspect and test engine and other mechanical components using test devices todiagnoseand isolate faults
• Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components usinghandtools and equipment
• Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance
• Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment
• Advise customers on work performed and general condition of equipment
• Determine estimates of repair cost
• May repair and rebuild hoisting mechanism and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts.

EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS:

• First point of contact with customers, assess and diagnose malfunctions in order to properly communicate with customers, and recommend proper repairs

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on internal combustion and electrical equipment including engine overhauls, hydraulic systems, brakes and other various service related needs.

• Maintain inventory of working tools, must have own tools

• Maintain clean work areas and must have compliant to company and health & safety procedures

• Valid Driver’s License

• Minimum of 2-year experience in equipment maintenance, with excellent understanding of engine overhauls, brakes, shift transmissions, and other blueprint specifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills-
