RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate and drive primarily straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo
• May drive special purpose trucks such as tow trucks, dump trucks, hydrovac trucks or cement mixing trucks.
EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS:
• Three years’ experience delivering concrete in a ready-mix concrete mixer
• Three years’ experience with heavy vehicles and be able to run a manual transmission
• Ability to work six days a week and up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Ability to follow directions and to arrive at job sites with concrete that meets requested specifications
• Tolerance to a variety of working conditions including hot, humid, cold, and wet conditions
• Willingness to follow all Health and Safety protocols
• Employees supply their own safety boots
• Working in a team environment
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment
• Assisting plant personnel including general cleaning, making concrete blocks, and any other duties required as directed by the manager.

• Obtain Heavy Vehicle licence (DZ) upon arrival to Canada
