AUTOBODY REPAIRER
Job Title: Autobody Repairer

Min 5 years of experience
CAD $60,000 – $70,000 per year ($29 per hour depending on experience)
Transitional Work Permit to Permanent Resident VISA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
• Mix paint, blend, and match colours
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS:
• Responsible for full auto body work, repairing all types of vehicles to the highest quality standard in a production type of environment.
• Repair dents and damages, align repairs and/or replaces damaged structural or mechanical parts and components. The incumbent must understand structural and non-structural panel replacement, uni-body and full-frame repairs.
• Licensed Body Technician (Journeyman/Red Seal)
• Able to work full-time in a physically demanding role (heavy lifting up to 70 lbs)
• At least 4 years of body shop experience
• Gold/Platinum i-car certified (or working towards certification)
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
• Good verbal and written communication skills
